What it looks like

We guide you through every move

In your first class, your instructor introduces the Reformer, adapts the exercises to your level and guides you through every move. No experience needed.

The Reformer

What is a Reformer?

The Reformer is a Pilates apparatus with a carriage that glides on rails, springs, straps and a foot bar. Depending on the exercise, the springs add resistance or support. That makes every movement easy to dose, lighter for beginners, heavier for advanced clients.

At Studio 6 you train on premium BodyBalance Reformers. Pilates Burn also uses the Jumpboard, a padded board at the end of the Reformer for jumping. Private and duo sessions use Reformers with a tower.

What to bring

  • Comfortable, close-fitting activewear
  • Grip socks: required, also sold at reception
  • A water bottle
  • 5 to 10 minutes before class starts
  • Changing rooms, showers and towels are provided

FAQ

Before your first class

Is Reformer Pilates suitable for beginners?

Reformer Pilates is a good place to start because the spring resistance can be adjusted for every exercise. Your instructor adapts the exercises to your level. If you want to try Reformer Pilates, start with Pilates Balance, which is more flowing than Pilates Burn. Before your first group class, you get an introduction to the Reformer.

What should I bring?

Comfortable, close-fitting activewear and a water bottle. Grip socks are required: they give you secure footing on the platform and floor. If you do not have any, you can buy them at reception. The studio has changing rooms, showers and towels.

When should I arrive for my first class?

Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes before class starts. That leaves time to change, meet your instructor and, before your first class, get a short introduction to the Reformer. Once class has started, joining is usually no longer possible.

Is there a free trial class?
