What is Studio 6?

Studio 6 is a boutique studio for Reformer Pilates, Yoga and Barre at Industriestrasse 12 in Zug, Switzerland, a 5-minute walk from Zug station. Opening day is 14 November 2026. There are four 50-minute group classes: Pilates Balance and Pilates Burn on premium BodyBalance Reformers, plus Yoga Fusion and Barre. Classes are taught in English and German. A group class costs CHF 55, or CHF 52 with the 20-class pack. Private sessions (1:1) and private Duo sessions (1:2) are planned individually, on Reformers with a tower. Booking is done directly online via «Book now». The studio is operated by STUDIO 6 Pilates & Yoga GmbH.

Is Reformer Pilates suitable for beginners?

Reformer Pilates is a good place to start because the spring resistance can be adjusted for every exercise. Your instructor adapts the exercises to your level. If you want to try Reformer Pilates, start with Pilates Balance, which is more flowing than Pilates Burn. Before your first group class, you get an introduction to the Reformer.

What is the difference between mat Pilates and Reformer Pilates?

On the mat you work with your own body weight. The Reformer is an apparatus with a moving carriage, springs and straps: depending on the exercise, the springs add resistance or support. This makes exercises easier to dose, lighter or heavier. At Studio 6 you train on premium BodyBalance Reformers.

How long is a class?

Every group class at Studio 6 lasts 50 minutes, whether Pilates Balance, Pilates Burn, Yoga Fusion or Barre.

How much does a class cost?

A single group class costs CHF 55. Packs save you money: CHF 54 per class with the 5-class pack, CHF 53 with the 10-class pack and CHF 52 with the 20-class pack (CHF 1,040 instead of 1,100, you save CHF 60). A private session (1:1) costs CHF 170, a private Duo session (1:2) CHF 200 for two people. Until 30 November 2026, new clients get a welcome offer from CHF 44.

How long are class packs valid?

Validity depends on the offer. Regular single classes and packs are valid from your first booking: single classes 2 months, 5-class packs 3 months, 10-class packs 6 months and the 20-class pack 9 months, for group, private and duo sessions. The welcome offer is valid for one month from the date of purchase. Free trial classes are valid only on 14 and 15 November 2026.

What should I bring?

Comfortable, close-fitting activewear and a water bottle. Grip socks are required: they give you secure footing on the platform and floor. If you do not have any, you can buy them at reception. The studio has changing rooms, showers and towels.

When should I arrive for my first class?

Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes before class starts. That leaves time to change, meet your instructor and, before your first class, get a short introduction to the Reformer. Once class has started, joining is usually no longer possible.

Is there a free trial class?

Free trial classes are only available on our free trial weekend for the opening, 14 and 15 November 2026. You book them via «Book now» as the «Free Trial Class» for CHF 0. After that, you book with the welcome offer (until 30 November 2026) or at regular prices. To start on the Reformer, we recommend Pilates Balance.

Which language are classes taught in?

Classes at Studio 6 are taught in English and German.

How many people are in a group class?

Pilates Balance and Pilates Burn have at most 8 people, each on their own Reformer. Yoga Fusion and Barre have at most 10 people. Private and duo sessions have their own area with 2 Reformers.

Can I cancel a booked class?

You can cancel a booked class up to 24 hours before it starts through the booking system. For later cancellations or no-shows the class may be deducted from your pack.

Do you offer private sessions?

Studio 6 offers private sessions (1:1) and private Duo sessions (1:2). They are not tied to the group classes: your instructor plans content and pace individually with you, on Reformers with a tower. A private session costs CHF 170, CHF 165 per session with the 5-pack and CHF 160 with the 10-pack (you save up to CHF 100). A private Duo session costs CHF 200 for two people, CHF 190 per session with the 5-pack and CHF 185 with the 10-pack (you save up to CHF 150).

Do I need ballet experience for Barre?

You need no ballet or Barre experience. The exercises at the barre are guided step by step. There is no choreography to learn; what matters most is focus and endurance.

Can I train with an injury?

Talk to your doctor first. Before class, tell your instructor about any injury or health condition. Your instructor will adapt exercises or advise against specific ones.

Will my health insurance contribute?

Basic health insurance does not cover Pilates or yoga classes. Some supplementary insurance plans contribute to classes from recognised providers. We are currently clarifying whether Studio 6 qualifies and will add the details here.

How do I get there, and where can I park?

Studio 6 is at Industriestrasse 12, 6300 Zug, a 5-minute walk from Zug station. The Parkhotel car park is directly beneath the studio, with more spaces in the Metalli car park. Bike parking is available nearby.

How do I book a class?

You book directly online via «Book now», there is no pre-registration. Opening day is 14 November 2026.
